Tepsi Kebabı, also known as “tray kebab,” is a popular Turkish dish that consists of layers of marinated meat and vegetables cooked together on a large tray in the oven. The name “tepsi” refers to the tray in which the dish is traditionally prepared and served.

Ingredients for Tray Kebab

How be made Tray Kebab;

  • Step 1

    In a bowl, put the 1 kilogram of mince, finely chopped 1 medium-sized onion, finely minced a bunch of parsley, finely chopped 2 long green peppers, miced 3 cloves of garlic, 1 teaspoon of cumin, salt, black pepper and red chili pepper, mix and knead well.

  • Step 2

    When the ingredient mixted each other well, place well the mince mix in a circular bake tray and flatten by pressing with your hands.

  • Step 3

    Cut into slices, to be 8 slices with help of knife. Pour the melted 4 tablespoons of butter on top of Kebab and spread it evenly everywhere with help of basting brush.

  • Step 4

    Mix the 1,5 table spoons of red pepper paste and 1 cup of water and pour on the Kebab.

  • Step 5

    Cut in half lengthwise the 1 green pepper and 1 red pepper, slice the 1 medium-sized tomato and place well on top of Kebab slices.

  • Step 6

    Bake for 35-40 minutes in an oven preheated to 190 degrees. (Every oven is diffrent that’s why check whether bake or not).When it baked, remove from oven and hot serve. Enjoy your meal.
