  • Step 1

    Take 4 cups of water, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 dessert spoon of salt, and 1 Turkish coffee cup of rice in a pot. Boil until the rice softens.

  • Step 2

    In a separate bowl, thoroughly whisk together 1 cup of yogurt, 1 egg, slightly more than half a Turkish coffee cup of flour, and nearly 1 cup of water.

  • Step 3

    Once the rice softens, quickly stir in the yogurt mixture. Stir until it comes to a boil. Once it boils, simmer for 10-15 minutes on low heat. Remember to stir occasionally.

  • Step 4

    If the consistency becomes too thick, you can add a bit of water to thin it out. Once the soup is cooked, turn off the heat.

  • Step 5

    Melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sprinkle 1 dessert spoon of mint on top to prepare the sauce.

  • Step 6

    Pour the soup into bowls, drizzle the buttery mint mixture on top, and enjoy your meal.
