Meat tantuni is a popular street food in Turkey, particularly in the southeastern and Mediterranean regions. It consists of thinly sliced marinated meat that is cooked on a griddle or a hot pan, along with chopped onions, tomatoes, and various spices.   • Step 1

    If you have 400 grams of meat, trim the excess fatty parts and slice it into thin strips. Boil the meat with enough cold water to cover it until the water is absorbed.

  • Step 2

    Heat a wok or large pan on the stove. Pour ½ cup of olive oil into the pan and add the boiled meat. Add 1 teaspoon of powdered red pepper and 1 teaspoon of salt, stirring. Slowly add ½ tea cup of water and cook until the water is absorbed.

  • Step 3

    Dice 2 tomatoes finely. Thinly slice 1 onion and finely chop ¼ bunch of parsley. Mix them with 1 teaspoon of sumac to create a nice salad.

  • Step 4

    Place the cooked "tantuni" in a lavashs. Pour the prepared salad over the meat and wrap the lavashs to form a wrap. If you like, you can heat the wrap on both sides in a pan before eating. Enjoy your meal!
