How to Make White Cabbage Soup

  • Step 1

    Take ¼ white cabbage and finely chop it. After chopping the cabbage, wash and rinse it thoroughly in plenty of water.

    In a pot, add 5 tablespoons of olive oil and finely chop 1 onion. Add the onion to the pot and sauté until it turns pink.

    Once the onions turn pink, add the finely chopped cabbage to the pot, close the lid, and cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage softens.

    After the cabbage softens, add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, 1 tablespoon of pepper paste, 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of salt.

    Wash ½ cup of rice thoroughly and add it to the pot. Then add 7-8 cups of hot water and let it cook until the rice softens. (You can adjust the amount of water according to your desired consistency).
